Export Data

Export Datasets

You can export the currently loaded datasets to a tabbed text file or a CSV file using the icon in the toolbar : Export Data Icon or Export All Data Icon or from the Data Sets window local menu.

Export statistics

PrestoPlot can export to a tabbed text file a set of statictical values for each set of loaded data.

The following statistics are recorded in the file with one line per dataset:

  • Name — The Name of the data set.
  • Units — The Units of the data.
  • Length — The Number of elements in the data set.
  • DataX — The name of the data vector containing the X values (in general this vector contains the dates).
  • Packet — The name of the packet of data from PrestoDecom.
  • Min — The Minimum data value.
  • Max — The Maximum data value.
  • Mean — The Mean average data value.
  • Sum — The Sum of all values.
  • Sdev — The Standard deviation (Square root of the variance).
  • Adev — The Average deviation.
  • Var — The Variance of the values.
  • Q1 — The First quartile.
  • Q3 — The Third quartile.
  • Skew — The Skewness (Third moment) Degree of asymetry about the mean.
  • Filename — The name of the data file or the Formula from the calculator for generated data.
